Medical Thread Moxibuxtion for Contact Facial Dermatitis: A Case 0 7081 收藏

A 22-year-old female, who loved applying masks, suffered from facial allergy, decrustation, swelling and local itching. After the routine treatment of acupuncture and moxibustion combined with medical thread moxibustion was applied, rashes were greatly relieved. Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Chinese Medicine (Huang Di Nei Jing) says: “All pain, sores and itching come from the heart.” The heart is associated with fire in five-element theory. “Depressed fire can be dispersed.”  Semen Ricini (Bima) is effective to treat sores, which can be assisted by using fire to disperse heat. Therefore, the medical thread made of processed Semen Ricini (Bima) can facilitate this moxibustion therapy to effectively treat contact facial dermatitis.
